His Wife in Every Way
He had promised to protect the beatiful white woman. But a Blackfoot warrior must never raise a hand against his own brothers, even if they mean to harm and disgrace a helpless captive. There was only one thing a man of honor like Night Thunder could do: claim Rebecca Cothern as his wife.
But One.
From the moment Rebecca stepped into Night Thunder's powerful embrace in full view of his tribe--making his marriage vow true in their eyes--she knew her life would never be the same. How could she travel among his people as his "wife" and share his bed without succumbing to the desire that burned so fiercely in her breast? Night Thunder swore that she would truly be his bride in every way, if only Rebecca would give hreself to him freely and without remorse. But could she sacrifice the only life she's ever known--and the future she'd always dreamed of--for a deep, satisfying tast of forbidden passion?
Didn't want it to end.Reviewed by Leroy A. Peters, 2006-05-28
I just got this book in the mail yesterday and I just finished it this evening. I usually don't read these type if romance novels, but as a straight Black man that is interested in American Indian culture and is an aspiring author, I found it completely all that! I am old school when it comes to Interracial American Indian love stories, where good guy wins, gets the girl and they live happily ever after. This book was off the Hook. Thank you Karen Kay.
Very enjoyable, but....Reviewed by S. K. Leggate, 2006-04-30
I truly enjoyed Night Thunder's Bride. Ms. kay did an amazing job
describing every little detail making it very easy for the reader
to picture every nuance. The romance is a memorable one, and that
made this book that much easier to read.
I only found one item about the book that kept distracting me from
the love story. I found the setting very hard to believe in. I kept
catching myself thinking "that wouldn't really happen", and it was
never in reference to the spiritual side of the story.
Even with that said, I am still glad I read it, and would still
recommend it to others. Just try not to let the far-fetched aspects
deter you from what is an otherwise wonderfully written love story.
Mystical, Romantic, and UniqueReviewed by Anonymous, 2003-10-09
I loved the spiritual side of this story. It makes the romance
between Night Thunder and Rebecca unique and deep- rooted. The
story as a whole, captivating.
Night Tunder is a hero in every sence of the word. Honorable,
brave, and powerful. He is also a Medicine Man, who is able to
communicate with spirits from the past. Rebecca and Night Thunder
are both shocked to discover that she also has "great medicine."
The two finding that they can communicate even when separated.
Romantic!
Rebecca is a bit annoying at first, because she actually considers
giving up Night Thunder for the sake of wanting to attend a ball.
(Is she nutty?!) But thankfully she comes around. And as dedicated
as he is, Night Thunder finds a way to give her everything she ever
wanted. Very Romantic!
This book was great from start to finish. Be sure to read "White
Eagle's Touch" first! It will give you an introduction to Night
Thunder's and Rebecca's characters.
So Good.Reviewed by Anonymous, 2003-02-26
Really loved the supernatural twist. Don't know why I waited so long to review it. It is sensual and fun to read. I put it in my top romantic reads along with Anything, My Love, by Cynthia Simmons and Fantasy Lover by Kenyon. All sizzling page turners you should not miss.
